With over 27-years working off and on in the travel and tourism industry, I have seen many changes - some good some not so good! I have also been able to travel extensively and in particular, to my favourite destination of all - Italy! And, by the way, my next planned trip to Italy will begin in Venice and end in Sicily. Since moving to the Top of the South, and on to the doorstep of the smallest National Park in New Zealand, I've been inspired on a daily basis to curate Journeys that matter and focus on what really is important. Yes, travelling is in our DNA as is exploring this amazing planet. But now it's time to do it differently and that is what Ruhtra Travel is about.

For many of us there has been a shift in the way we travel. Unbridled fires and floods have been the worst on record in Europe and North America, and last winter was virtually non-existent in many parts of Australia!

The Journeys I offer are designed as adventures for travellers who value meaningful experiences that give back to communities and minimise the environmental impact.

Each one is crafted through carefully selected partnerships with sustainable companies and accommodation providers, incorporating alternative transport options such as train travel, hike, bike and eco-expedition cruises.
